The J company of the 116th Exterminator Battalion was founded not long
before Operation Valid Pretext, as the Helldiver Corps was
expanding and preparing for the upcoming assault on
Cyberstan. It was formed as a part of the 116th as an
attempt to increase siege potential of the unit in the face of
tightly fortified enemy positions on Cyberstan.
The doctrine of the J company consists of mimicking the
ways of old earth, by overwhelming the enemy with endless
bombardments from heavy artillery, and leading the
charge via motorized and armored infantry.
The original purpose of the unit was to combat the automaton and later cyborg threat, which is also visible in the company's preferred uniforms and doctrine. The home planet of the J company allows it to operate in harsh, freezing wasteland environments with a higher effectiveness compared to other helldiver units.
